Meet the Owners

Decades of Experience, Led by Family, Built on Trust

Ring Electric is proudly owned and operated by father-and-daughter team Bryan & Krystle Verhulp, combining decades of technical expertise with a modern, customer-first approach. While Bryan’s extensive industry background laid the foundation for the company, Krystle now leads Ring Electric’s day-to-day operations, ensuring every customer receives outstanding service and a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.

Bryan Verhulp’s career spans more than four decades in the electrical field. He began in 1981 as an electrician with the Royal Canadian Navy, later earning a degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Brunswick. His career continued with the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he spent 15 years as an aerospace engineer managing aircraft maintenance and personnel. After retiring as a captain following 20 years of service, Bryan transitioned into the private sector, working as an electrical manager at Home Depot and contributing to the editing of the book Home Depot Electrical 123. He later became a journeyman electrician and earned his master electrician qualification, founding Ring Electric in 2003.

Today, Krystle Verhulp serves as the main lead of the company, overseeing operations, customer relationships, and project coordination. Known for her superior customer service skills, Krystle is often the first point of contact for clients and is deeply involved throughout each project. Her clear communication, responsiveness, and genuine care for customers ensure that every job is handled efficiently, transparently, and with attention to detail.

Krystle’s leadership is driven by a strong passion for supporting Ottawa homeowners and local businesses. She takes pride in building long-term relationships within the community and ensuring Ring Electric delivers not only high-quality electrical work, but also a positive and stress-free customer experience. Her commitment to professionalism and service has played a key role in the company’s continued growth and reputation.

Ring Electric is a Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC) with the Electrical Safety Authority of Ontario and has earned HomeStars’ “Best of” award for 16 consecutive years, including “Best of the Best” for the past three years—a reflection of the high standards Bryan and Krystle uphold.

As a family-run business, Ring Electric treats every home and business with care and respect. With Bryan’s decades of experience supporting the company and Krystle leading its future, Ring Electric is proud to continue serving the Ottawa area with honesty, expertise, and exceptional customer service.
