Decades of Experience, Family-Led, Built on Trust
Ring Electric is proudly owned and operated by father-and-daughter team Bryan & Krystle Verhulp, blending decades of electrical expertise with a modern, customer-first approach. Founded on Bryan’s extensive industry experience and now led day-to-day by Krystle, Ring Electric delivers professional, reliable service from first call to final inspection.
Bryan Verhulp began his electrical career in 1981 with the Royal Canadian Navy, later earning a degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Brunswick. He went on to serve 15 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force as an aerospace engineer, managing aircraft maintenance and personnel before retiring as a captain after 20 years of service. Bryan later worked as an electrical manager at Home Depot, contributed to Home Depot Electrical 123, earned his journeyman and master electrician certifications, and founded Ring Electric in 2003.
Today, Krystle Verhulp leads company operations, customer relations, and project coordination. Often the first point of contact, she is known for clear communication, responsiveness, and genuine care for customers. Krystle is deeply involved throughout each project, ensuring every job is handled efficiently, transparently, and with attention to detail.
Driven by a passion for supporting Ottawa homeowners and local businesses, Krystle takes pride in building long-term relationships and delivering not only high-quality electrical work, but a smooth, stress-free customer experience. Her leadership has played a key role in Ring Electric’s continued growth and strong local reputation.
Ring Electric is a Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC) with Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority and a 16-time HomeStars “Best of” award winner, including “Best of the Best” for the past three years.
As a family-run business, Ring Electric treats every home and business with care and respect. With Bryan’s decades of experience supporting the company and Krystle leading its future, Ring Electric proudly serves Ottawa with honesty, expertise, and exceptional service.
